Ice Bird Feeder

  • Corks from wine bottles
[Sue Says: Find corks that have interesting designs on them. Champagne corks can work too!]
  • A wooden picture frame
  • Sturdy cardboard

STEP ONE: Purchase a picture frame deep enough that corks wonÍt extend above the frame
STEP TWO: Remove glass and any wire or brackets from picture frame
STEP THREE: Cut the corks in half
[Sue Says: Soak corks before cutting in half to prevent them from breaking.]
STEP FOUR: Cut a piece of cardboard for the back of the frame. Glue the cardboard to the back of the frame
STEP FIVE: Try out different arrangements of the corks
[Sue Says: Place champagne corks upright for a different look.]
STEP SIX: Glue the corks in place using ElmerÍs glue, craft glue, or a hot glue gun that is resistant to water
