This vest gave my daughter the confidence to swim. Little by little she felt safe and learned to use her arms and legs while being supported by the vest. Little by little I took the foamies out and by the end of summer she was basically swimming on her own with no lessons. Great investment. Even if you do not purchase to teach your child to swim, it gives you comfort knowing they are safe when in the backyard around the pool.
